What we only about sifma is that it is for sustainable use promoting livelihood and reforestation.

Currently DENR advises SLUP (Special Land Use Permit) over sifma, as it is the procedure they recommend when applying for use or tenure of timberland.

It is real hassle dealing with timberland. It seems like they design the process to be difficult and discouraging.

However, please know that even those government agencies such as local government units or public schools also have to go through the same long process and eventually they do get the special permit they need to build their respective projects.

My cousin who works in the local government unit in Camotes is one of those personnel who has gone all through the process and steps you are about to undertake to be able to build their local government projects.

Sometimes you need to balance if this is within your budget range and patience.
